LESS GUESSING.
MORE PLAYING.
A MUD is a multiplayer world experienced through text. Your client connects to the game; your commands and roleplay give you a place in it.
> lookRead your surroundings.> whoCheck who is online.> say Hello.Speak as your character.> helpOpen the game’s help system.> help combatRead the combat guidance.Where do I connect?
Use a MUD client with host mud.paroxysmrpg.com and port 3000. You can play directly on the website using the browser terminal or connect with a dedicated MUD client.
Do I need a website account?
There is no separate website registration form or password. Discord sign-in is used for wiki ownership and forum posting. Game character creation happens inside the MUD.
What should my first character be like?
Start with a concept that creates interactions: someone who needs allies, has a difficult obligation or wants something they cannot obtain alone. You can develop the details through play.
Is everything on a wiki page known in character?
No. A player reading a character’s profile does not make that information known to their character. Treat the wiki as an invitation to roleplay, not an in-character intelligence service.
Where do I find exact system rules?
Open the help library for commands and source-linked rules. Use in-game help to check the running build. Sanctuary recovery, feeding, progression and society membership each have dedicated guides.
What happens when I get stuck?
Ask in Discord or the forum. Include the command you used, what you expected and what happened. For a technical issue, remove passwords and tokens before sharing logs.
