Operations and deployment

Scheduled objectives connect the tactical fight to society territory and resources.

Signup and launch

The numbered operation commands use a consistent schedule ordered by actual departure. An eligible signup depends on connection and deployment eligibility as well as the selected society. Positive deployment settings are accepted consistently. Psychic operations do not require the society deployment switch.

The launch system distinguishes the side fighting the battle from the society credited with a participant's contribution. Confirm the selected society and your deployment settings before signing up.

Participation and injury

Severe or worse wounds prevent deployment. A preexisting mild wound and its timer are preserved through an operation. A new operation injury carries its own provenance and fast recovery handling. An ordinary new injury clears that exemption.

Running out of defenses in an operation uses the operation defeat and nightmare-exit path rather than falling into ordinary world-death handling. That does not turn every injury elsewhere into an operation wound.

Territory and objectives

Higher-power worship and attack goals have additional restrictions. The sponsor needs its own foothold and the correct public relationship to the target. These goals require an open operation scheduled at least two days ahead with speed 5 or higher and at least four player slots.

A Cortex loss to an NPC antagonist in an eligible off-world operation can create a breach. A successful objective and a resource contribution are not interchangeable results.
