Names and memberships
Civil Servant replaces Special Deputy. Brown Student is disabled. Civic Educator is the current school staff title. The Order is closed to joining because the current faction history describes its destruction.
The active alliance system has two sides. Player societies use one category with higher-power relationships stored separately. New ordinary membership is one player society or one faction rather than both.

Gameplay changes
Dream snares are disabled through commands and rituals and prepared battlefield actions. Ordinary dream invasion remains available. New legacy nightmare-character creation is disabled but existing characters remain playable.
Clinic arrest requests and the old approval and bribe forms are disabled. Physical capture and commitment remain available. The retirement of the request forms should not be described as the removal of confinement.
Thwarts resolve through a contested command and a shared failure cooldown. They no longer depend on the old storyrunner accept-and-finish workflow.

Rewards and protection
Community credit is retired. Former rewards are accessible subject to ordinary gameplay restrictions and monthly item recolours accrue automatically.
Sanctuary is not a blanket prevention of injury. It records eligible recovery and has population and hunger and other restrictions. An old helpfile describing universal safety is not a substitute for current incident coverage.
