Player conduct and character consequences

Fictional coercion does not make out-of-character harassment acceptable.

01 / Getting started

The basic separation

The rules require in-character play and prohibit using out-of-character information in character. Information obtained outside the game is out of character. A public wiki entry is not automatic knowledge for everyone who meets that character.

Out-of-character harassment and abuse are prohibited. Bug exploitation is also prohibited. A hostile faction or cruel character does not remove those restrictions.

02 / Getting started

Play the shared game

Remain at the screen while playing. Do not use gibberish or prewritten or aliased emotes to manufacture roleplay rewards. The account rules prohibit account transfers and out-of-character transfers between characters. Read the current help alts before assuming your own characters can cooperate.

Use the newcomer channels for newcomer help rather than turning them into general-purpose chat. Current reward changes have removed the old community-credit gate from the OOC and Legends features.

03 / Getting started

Mature themes and mechanical limits

The code includes captivity and violent injury as well as sexual-coercion mechanics. A mechanical help article explains what a command permits or blocks. It should not be mistaken for a complete statement of staff policy or a demand that players write graphic detail.

Full Sanctuary and limited Sanctuary do not offer identical command protections. Check the relevant help and current community rules before relying on an aura as an absolute safety guarantee.
