Services and their costs
All prices below are in society resources. Setup and recurring upkeep scale with all named roster members including inactive members. A roster is counted as at least one member. Recovery bills are separate.
The table lists player-society setup charges and the recurring per-member charges shared by factions and societies. Faction setup keeps its own base rates and activation requirements.
| Service | Society setup per member | Upkeep per member |
|---|---|---|
| Sanctuary | 100 resources | 200 resources |
| Corpse disposal | 100 resources | 100 resources |
| Scouts | 25 resources | 10 resources |
| Scanner | 25 resources | 20 resources |
| Comms / transmitter | 30 resources | 10 resources |

Affordability is the actual cost
A society needs the actual setup fee rather than an additional reserve. Recurring services need enough resources for their combined actual cost. Sanctuary is funded first followed by scouts and scanner and comms and then corpse disposal. Unaffordable services are disabled even for core factions.
The college Sanctuary exemption remains. Services can be switched off without a fee. Upkeep follows the existing faction update schedule; these figures should not be relabelled as a new invented daily or weekly bill.

Recovery is another bill
A death or maim covered by ordinary Sanctuary can create a separate tier-scaled recovery charge. A society can therefore afford its services and still be driven into debt by recoveries. The protected person's incident record captures the payer rather than using whichever group looks convenient later.
